Jeremiah 29:11 – 15 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back from captivity…”

I love His promises and His promises reassure my heart.

What has influenced you lately?

With layers, the pain of being passed over has come to all of us. Recently, I have been influenced by the power and spirit of inclusion and adoption. We all experience this daily on one level or another. We are both accepted by others and invited in or we are left feeling like we are watching from the side lines. The Good news is, when man fails, Christ is always inviting. The other side of the news is, we accept or reject that offer and follow up with a decision to reciprocate that offer.  Please don’t correct me if you feel differently, but I think I have the best life ever! Baby D has delighted us with his spirit and life.  To personally watch the spirit of inclusion and adoption at work within my home is sobering and fulfilling. The powers in those two institutions are twofold and life altering.  This specific situation, started with a conscious decision and it quickly morphed into a natural state of healthy lungs breathing in fresh air.  It fits…like it was meant to be. I believe this is God’s message to us.  We fit! We were Included and adopted in.  The heart is beautiful with its ability to always include other individuals.  We were created to be in relationship with God and with each other.  I hope to regularly make a conscious decision to let my eyes gaze about and zone in on others whom I can adopt in and help carry along with acceptance and inclusion. It’s a powerful option. Yep, that’s my heart!

What is one thing we don’t know about you?

I was run over by a car at age four and I experienced a physical miracle. That miracle spiritually formed me as it still continues to symbolize God’s personal fingerprints upon my life. The memory of His involvement serves as confirmation and encouragement that I can still trust Him when fear threatens to overtake me.
